The father of American Pickers alum Frank Fritz is contesting his late son's will is fake as the drama surrounding the TV star's estate continues. Fritz died on September 30 last year at 60 years of age, just two years after suffering a stroke that left him under a conservatorship and guardianship.

In October 2023, his attorney filed a 'will prior to death' to 'safe-keep' the document, which was approved by an Iowa judge. Frank's alleged $6 million in assets includes his motorcycle collection, antique store Frank Fritz Finds in Savanna, Illinois, and his $155,000 farmhouse in Davenport, Iowa.

However, an attorney filed a petition in probate earlier this month to 'set aside will and jury demand' aka challenge Frank's original will. Now Bill Fritz has hit back at the claim that Frank's close friends are fighting back to protect his fortune from the father whom they claim was rarely in his son's life.

'It is a fake will. He did not have a will. He did not sign it,' Bill argued to The U.S. Sun. 'I am his only loved one. I am his only survivor. None of them are related to him. I am the only relation he has.'. He continued: 'All the others are trying to get money. They are nothing but people who worked for him.'.

Bill insisted that how he and Frank were in contact through the years as he added: 'We were close. I am requesting the entire estate.'. An unnamed friend of Frank's who is involved in the battle to keep the estate from Bill told the publication that Frank's father wanted the will thrown out so Bill's money will go to him as the nearest living relative.

The source even claimed Bill was offered a role in the guardianship due to the fact h was Frank's only living relative, but he allegedly 'refused.'. The insider added: 'If there is no will, what is he contesting? Just because Bill is blood does not mean he has the right to take away Frank's last wishes.'.

Meanwhile, Bill's lawyer, Cory F. Gourley, told Fox News Digital: 'A purported will was filed with the probate court by an associate of Frank's. We have filed a petition on behalf of Frank's family challenging the validity of that will. 'We believe the evidence will ultimately show that the will is invalid for at least one if not multiple reasons. The case is relatively new and will now proceed to be litigated in District Court.'.

Iowa native Frank famously left American Pickers in 2020 to undergo back surgery, and then he suffered a stroke in 2022 as a result of cerebral vascular disease. Weeks later, he was placed under a conservatorship by MidWestOne Bank with his friend Chris Davis listed as his guardian due to the 'impairment of his decision-making capacity.'.

Frank's friend Jerry Gendreau previously told the outlet he was 'totally bedridden' and had 'lost the will to live.'. 'I've seen this when people get tired, they get tired. I think if you don't have the will to live, you won't,' Jerry explained. 'I think Frank could've lived a lot longer if the will to live would've been there.'.

The History Channel star had suffered from aortic stenosis, COPD, and Crohn's disease before finally succumbing to the effects of his stroke at a Midwestern hospice facility. Frank had reportedly been estranged from his co-host Mike Wolfe from 2021-2023, but he 'felt blessed' to be by his side as he 'took one last journey home.'.
