April makes a brave decision in Emmerdale, but it has a devastating outcome

April Windsor’s (Amelia Flanagan) been struggling to face the ordeal she’s been through in Emmerdale, and who could blame her. After running away to spend six weeks living on the streets, only to tragically and traumatically give birth to a stillborn baby girl in a gym toilet, April has not returned as the same teenager who left.

She’s barely been speaking to her parents and is certainly not ready to acknowledge the birth and death of her daughter. Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) and Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) have struggled being left out on the periphery and have danced on eggshells in encouraging April open up to them. But every time they try, April shoots them down.

The whole family is taken aback when she comes downstairs with a huge announcement – she’s ready to go back to school.
