BBC viewers have spotted a bonkers Match of the Day editing blunder during the highlights of Aston Villa vs Ipswich Town. The Villans came from behind to earn a point against the relegation-threatened Tractor Boys. Liam Delap netted the opening goal in the 56th minute before Ollie Watkins equalised for the hosts. The biggest drama of the match was Axel Tuanzebe being sent off for Ipswich. The defender was handed his marching orders in the 40th minute after getting his second yellow card.

However, the MOTD highlights showed his first offence in which he tripped Morgan Rodgers in the 28th minute. The camera showed his booking and then panned to Aston Villa manager Unai Emery. In the moment Tyrone Mings could be seen sitting behind the Spaniard. The issue with the shot is that Mings had been subbed onto the pitch 12 minutes earlier in place of Boubacar Kamara. This put the defender in amind-boggling two places at once.

One posted: "I saw that when I was watching it and thought I was going mad.". A second wrote: "Poor editing.". A third commented: "Yeah I was so confused!!". A fourth said: "Lool, that's gotta be embarrassing. Everything is dramatised these days.". A fifth joked: "Would’ve been funnier if we saw Mings on the pitch directly before showing the bench.".

Another added: "Good spot from you but it's not that big of a deal.". SunSport has approached the BBC for comment. Marcus Rashford impressed yet again in his new colours after joining on loan from Manchester United in January. It was his free-kick that hammered the woodwork and bounced into the path of Watkins to net the leveller. SunSport has exclusively reported that the forward is still hoping to complete a switch to Barcelona in the summer.
