Big Brother star Yinrun Huang has revealed she has secretly married her fiancé. The fan-favouite said 'I do' to her partner Luke in an intimate ceremony and shocked her fans with the announcement. She had only shared her engagement just a few months ago as Luke "secretly learned Chinese to propose." Yinrun starred in the 2023 season of Big Brother and finished the programme in fourth place before competing in The 1% Club.
Luke made a brief appearance in Big Brother during Yinrun's stint, as contestants were visited by their friends and family, but a cruel twist was thrown into the mix as housemates weren't allowed to speak to their loved ones. The happy couple have since shared clips of their big day after keeping their wedding hidden from fans.
Yinrun said: “We have something very special to announce that we’ve been keeping a secret. Earlier this week Luke and I got married. It was a very intimate occasion, attended only by our parents, as well as my best friend, who kindly offered to be our photographer too.”.
She added: “We decided after our engagement that a big ceremony just wasn’t right for us. We wanted our wedding day to be simple and personal, without the stress of planning a large event." Yinrun revealed their wedding day was the first time her parents had met Luke in person.
“My parents flew all the way from China to meet Luke for the first time and attend the wedding," she explained. “I was so happy our parents could all make it to our special day. We couldn’t wish for a better day than this.” Fans rushed to share their messages to the newly weds as one said: "This is so beautiful. I’m so glad you were able to have the day you wanted. Wishing you many happy years together.".
