Aspiring chef Brooklyn Beckham made sure to mention his dad in an Instagram advert for his new hot sauce brand. Brooklyn, 25, posted a commercial for US based supermarket chain Whole Foods Market, which now stocks his sauce brand Cloud 23. The clip, which was shared on Instagram, shows Brooklyn kicking a ball around in the lead up to this weekend's Super Bowl, before referencing David Beckham multiple times.

Joking that an American football isn't "proper football", he goes on to say he's calling his dad to 'set it straight'. After starting to chop vegetables for his guacamole, Brooklyn asks if the camera operator knows where his phone is to see if his dad's called, before explaining that he grew up with football. He then moves on to make his spicy buffalo dip, but not before jibing that American football players only use their feet for "10 seconds a game". After trying the chicken dip, his phone rings, with Brooklyn answering: "Hi dad..." Recently, Brooklyn hit out at claims he was a 'nepo baby', saying: "I can't help how I was born.".

In the interview with InStyle, he said: "I couldn’t ask for better parents and I’m just trying to work my ass off and trying to make a name for myself. That’s all I can say, really.” Elsewhere in the interview, he responded to his critics, saying he wants to "make a name for myself". Brooklyn told the publication: "It makes me… I kind of like it, in a way, just because it makes me really want to prove to people…Until two years ago, I didn’t know what the hell I was doing. I think with all the rubbish I get, my mum's just like, 'Prove them wrong. Never respond to that rubbish, just prove them wrong.' I think what I wanted for so long - especially the last few years - is I really wanted to make a name for myself.”.

The former photographer, who was branded 'Nepo Spice' by online commenters, has tried his hand at various careers, before finally finding something he would "literally die for". Speaking to Variety in 2022, he said: "They were kind of all hobbies. I was still trying to find that one thing I would literally die for, and I found that with cooking.". Brooklyn isn't the only Beckham to be hit with the 'nepo baby' title, with his younger brother Cruz, 19, also forced to defend himself with criticism. But Cruz didn't take the accusation of benefitting form his parents' privilege lightly, outrageously responding that: "Jesus is also a nepo baby." The Mail reported the Boxing Day post was deleted soon after, the Mirror reached out to Cruz's reps for comment at the time.
