Chynna Phillips has gone on lengthy bizarre rant about iPhones - comparing Apple to 'Satan' and claiming the device 'kept tabs on her' and 'scrambled her brain.'. The former musician, 57, shared her disdain for cell phones in a new 20-minute video shared to her faith-based YouTube channel, California Preachin' last week. She explained that she had turned her phone off for three days straight, and noticed immense 'changes' in her mood.

Chynna claimed that she went from feeling 'frantic, anxious, and overwhelmed' to being 'focused and present,' and now believed it was her phone that was causing her 'brain to be scrambled.'. She described her mobile device as a 'shackle' around her or a 'probation officer keeping tabs on her,' and claimed it had 'hijacked' her life for the last 18 years. She even compared Apple to the devil and accused the company of 'stealing the souls of their children.'.

'I did a three-day phone fast it was remarkable. Totally changed my life,' Chynna began in the video, which was shared on February 5. 'I turned it off on Friday at 3pm and I didn't turn it on until Monday at 8am so it was almost 72 hours.'. Chynna said her brain felt 'scrambled' before, but about 30 hours into the 'fast,' she began to feel more 'focused' and 'present in her body.'. '[I felt] sort of adrift and sort of lost at sea, frantic, out of body, anxious, overwhelmed [before the phone fast],' she shared. 'I really do believe that the the iPhone hijacked my life. I feel like the iPhone has become an appendage and it's sort of like my probation officer, it follows me, it keeps tabs on me. It's like I've had a shackle around my hand for 18 years.'.

['Get back Satan, get back Satan,' Chynna (seen with her sisters in 1991) said of her iPhone. 'Apple's logo is an apple with a bite taken out of it just like in the Garden of Eden']

The star, who is the daughter of the Mamas & the Papas band members John and Michelle Phillips, added that because she has an 'addictive personality' she would look at her phone '100 times a day.'. 'I think some people are more capable of being able to withstand and endure that type of severe distraction and interference in life but for me, ladies and gentlemen, no,' she dished. Chynna then compared Apple's logo to the apple in the bible passage about the Garden of Eden.

'Get back Satan, get back Satan,' she said of her iPhone. 'I don't want to get in trouble with Apple but their logo is an apple with a bite taken out of it just like in the Garden of Eden, did you ever think of that?. Chynna (seen last year) described her mobile device as a 'shackle' around her or a 'probation officer keeping tabs on her,' and claimed it had 'hijacked' her life for the last 18 years. The star added that because she has an 'addictive personality' she would look at her phone '100 times a day'.

'You make of that what you want but I'm telling you right now this phone thing has gotten out of control and I really believe that it's suffocating and stealing the souls of our children. 'It's as if we have have a lock around our arm and it has taken hold of us and it is our master. 'These devices are meant to augment our lives, not strip us of our soul, our meaning of life.'. The singer admitted that her 'addiction' to her phone had gotten so bad that she would 'text and drive' despite it being 'illegal' and extremely 'dangerous.'.

'It's so idiotic and beyond humiliating and horrifying,' she reflected. 'I want to vow that I will never ever, ever, ever pick up my phone when I am driving again.'. Following the three-day cleanse, Chynna said that she has now decided going forward that she will use her phone for 10 minutes every day just to reply to some text messages. She said she keeps her iPad in her kitchen on loud volume that way her children can reach her in emergencies, and uses that to Facetime them and answer emails.

'I feel like I feel like I've gotten my life back by making this decision,' she said. 'It has calmed my nervous system. 'Get back Satan, get back Satan,' Chynna (seen with her sisters in 1991) said of her iPhone. 'Apple's logo is an apple with a bite taken out of it just like in the Garden of Eden'. 'I feel like it's lowered my cortisol levels, I feel like it has given me the ability to breathe and my back pain is so much more manageable.

'I feel that I have had a significant shift in my ability to be focused and joyful and peaceful now.'. She described the change as her 'new beginning' and ended the rant by asking for 'prayers' from her viewers. 'Please pray for me,' she concluded. 'Like an addict I'm afraid I'm going to slip and end up taking all of this back six months from now.'. 'But I don't think I'm alone in this I think there's other people who struggle with this.'.
