There could be a major twist on the way on EastEnders, after an eerie twist amid the Cindy Beale whodunnit plot. Viewers have been speculating which of the named suspects including Peter Beale, Lauren Branning, Junior Knight and Ian Beale, might have been the one who attacked her on Christmas Day. With Cindy convinced it was Lauren, some fans have wondered if it was someone, such as Kojo Asare, who isn't actually on the suspects line-up.
Now, a scene on Thursday night may have teased it's someone viewers had possibly yet to consider. It could even see a shock return to the BBC soap, with some fans not convinced any of the current suspects are the guilty party. As Cindy urged Lauren to confess in the latest episode, sure she was hiding something, the moment was interrupted when a brick came smashing through the window. As Lauren raced over to see who had thrown it, Cindy was seen cowering as she read the note attacked to the brick.
It read: "You should have stayed dead. Now I'm coming for you." Of course it could have been linked to her recent attack, but could it actually be about her previous fake death decades ago?. Cindy was killed off in the 90s offscreen, with it said she had died in prison during childbirth when she welcomed her daughter Cindy Williams. It emerged in a shocking return for the character in 2023 that Cindy had been alive the whole time and in witness protection.
