And they don’t skimp on luxury either. Many annexes come with working electricity, running water, and modern interiors, with enough room for more than one space. eBay currently has listings for these annexes at affordable prices, making it easier for those wanting a place of their own.

This particular annexe, measuring seven metres by three metres, ensures durability, insulation, and long-term stability. It also features real oak veneered engineered flooring with a 20-year guarantee. All walls and ceilings are finished with three coats of emulsion, with primer and undercoat plus two satinwood topcoats on all woodwork. The seller, who has 100% positive feedback, explained that the annexe is bespoke and built to meet the individual needs of the buyer.

This isn’t the only granny annexe that is catching people’s attention on eBay. Another modern, fully insulated annexe is currently available for £49,000, designed to fit neatly at the end of a standard terraced house garden. The listing includes images showcasing a fully finished living space, complete with a double bedroom, shower room, kitchen area, and lounge.

Built for both durability and style, the annexe features plasterboard interior walls. It also has a Firestone EPDM rubber roof with a 25-year guarantee, and 3.5m aluminium bifold doors that open up the space beautifully. Externally, it has a 19mm Western Red Cedar cladding with a hidden nail profile, offering a sleek and modern look.

The seller also provides free local delivery. They also offer buyers the choice of four laminate wood flooring options: light grey, dark grey, medium brown, or natural oak. The tiny house movement began in the USA before gaining popularity in the UK. What is a tiny home?.
