Everton were close to signing a former Premier League winner on loan in the January transfer window before pulling out of the move, according to reports. The Toffees were on the hunt for an extra forward following the injury to striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Scouts were sent to watch one player, who claimed a top flight winners medal in the 2016-17 season. However, the reports that came back were not particularly positive and David Moyes decided against following through, claim The Sun.
