Buying new activewear is supposed to inspire you to work out - but one woman is warning people it's stretch and durability may instead lead to weight gain. According to TikTok user Rumor Zacharia, wearing her favorite Lululemon leggings gave her 'weight blindness,' and she didn't realize she was piling on the pounds. 'How do I explain that leggings made me fat?' Rumor declared in a recent video. 'Leggings are the sole reason why I gained so much weight and why I had weight blindness,' she claimed.

The weight-loss guru explained that if you put activewear on every day, it is harder to notice if you have gained weight. 'When you put on clothes every single day that just fit, not matter what, just fit perfectly, I never realized that I gained a pound,' she exclaimed. The content creator said she only realized she had gained weight after seeing a photo of herself. Rumor, who now shares her weight loss tips on her TikTok page, declared that despite the brand leading to her 'weight blindness,' Lululemon products are 'so far superior' to any other activewear brand.

According to TikTok user Rumor Zacharia, wearing her favorite Lululemon leggings gave her 'weight blindness,' and she didn't realize she was piling on the pounds. 'I don't care what anyone says,' she said. 'Lululemon had me squeezing into a size six, and I was like "I'm a six, I'm a smaller size I'm fine."'. She added the stretch on the items is 'out of control' - and she still wears the same pieces today.

'I still wear the same leggings, same tops, same sports bras that I wore when I was 80 pounds heavier and they fit like a glove,' Rumor told viewers. Although at first she declared Lululemon activewear is the 'way to go,' she changed her mind. 'I don't want the same thing that happened to me to happen to you,' she joked. In a follow up video, Rumor added: 'If you're going to invest in good leggings go with Lulu, they will fit you no matter what.'.

Users shared their thoughts on Rumor's leggings theory, many agreeing and saying have had similar moments of 'weight blindness.'. 'It's true! I was a size six in Lululemon and buying jeans at a size ten, but the Lulus still fit! I had to lose weight immediately lol,' one user chimed in. Users shared their thoughts on Rumor's leggings theory, many agreeing and saying have had similar moments of 'weight blindness'. 'Back in the 2000s I watched "what not to wear" and they would always say don't buy anything with a stretchy waistband because you can't tell when you're gaining,' one user shared. They continued: 'I didn't listen and started wearing leggings. Pants with zippers eventually disappeared from my wardrobe and I continued to gain. Went from a six to 16. Now I'm down 70lbs and just bought real pants again.'.
'I really didn't notice until I got a job where I had to wear jeans every day. My medium leggings I bought at 150 pounds still somehow slid on just fine at 220 pounds. My jeans sure don't do that,' agreed someone else. 'I've been up 100 and down 100 multiple times (it's a hard life) but my Lululemon size six fits no matter what!! It's crazy!!' wrote another. In addition to weight blindness, wearing leggings all the time can also lead to health issues, experts have warned.
