Gabby Logan shared the secret to marriage success after tying-the-knot with retired Scottish rugby player Kenny Logan decades ago. The 51-year-old television and radio presenter has been married to star winger Kenny, 52, since 2001 and together they are proud parents to twins Lois and Reuben, who were born in 2004. Gabby and Kenny have enjoyed a successful 23 year long marriage - and had even dated for two years having first met in January 1999.
Gabby recently reflected on the success of her marriage - explaining that communication has been a key component to their success. Her words were shared before Kenny more recently revealed his original plan to propose to her was scuppered by an offensive rugby fan.
Speaking to Best magazine in the summer, Gabby shared insight into her married life, saying: “Sometimes there’s going to be a player who needs picking up, and other times they’re the star of the game and it’s someone else who needs the boost. With a marriage it’s the same: you’re never walking along the same bit of road at the same time.”.
She went on to that she and Kenny “never stop working” at their relationship, and that their marriage “needs a bit of an assessment” regularly. Explaining that she and her husband make a “conscious effort” with one other, she added that “Communication, having fun, and making time to be together” is their answer to happiness. If you have something special, you need to look after it,” she concluded.
Last week, Kenny revealed the he had planned to marry Gabby sooner than he was able to - as a romantic proposal was ruined by a rude sports fan. Appearing on Gabby's podcast, The Sports Agents, the retired professional shared his story - with footage later shared via Instagram alongside a caption stating: "How a drunk Scotland fan scuppered @gabbylogan’s chances of an earlier engagement to now-husband Kenny.".
