Glastonbury fans are buzzing with excitement, convinced that a major dance act is guaranteed to appear this year due to what they believe is a festival tradition. With the 2025 festival rapidly approaching, music lovers have begun speculating about which artists and bands will take the stage at the iconic event. On Reddit, one user suggested that electronic artist Four Tet might return to Worthy Farm this year. Four Tet, who first graced the festival in 2014, also delivered a late-night DJ set in 2022. Fans are now wondering if he’ll make another appearance, especially since it’s been a few years since his last show there.
One fan started a discussion thread with the question: "Four Tet? Maybe this year?" and others quickly joined in, with comments ranging from nostalgic memories to optimistic predictions. "I remember that glorious year when Four Tet played four sets," one fan reminisced, while another added, "Pretty good chance." A third joked, "You won’t be able to escape him," and a fourth humorously remarked, "He’s probably already there, playing to himself in a one-man tent.".
Four Tet, whose real name is Kieran Miles David Hebden, has just started a tour across Europe and the US. His tour schedule conveniently leaves a gap around the time of Glastonbury, which runs from Wednesday, June 25th to Sunday, June 29th. Though he's slated to perform in Barcelona on June 13th, his next scheduled gig won’t be until August 1st in Amsterdam, giving him ample time to join the festival lineup.
It comes after Glastonbury Festival fans are hoping they've found a band who are "nailed on" to perform at Worthy Farm. Despite only Neil Young, Rod Stewart and Nile Rodgers and Chic being confirmed so far, fans have been swapping rumours online about who might complete the line-up. A legendary Sheffield band could join the line-up this year, after some convinced themselves the band would headline the festival in the last two years.
Users on the r/GlastonburyFestival Reddit thread were taken aback that Pulp hasn't hit the festival since their 2011 reunion, sparking hopes for a headline slot this time around. One Redditor wrote: "Pulp in the mix? A lot of UK dates in the run-up to Glastonbury, including a big one in Sheffield on the 25th? Would love to see them over the weekend. Make it happen, I say.".
The desire for Pulp, creators of anthems like Common People and Do You Remember the First Time, was clear among the fans. One wrote: "I'd bloody love a bit of Pulp me." Another, slightly less certain but still holding out hope, commented: "If it was any other band, I'd think they're 100% on the lineup, but I thought they'd be nailed on for the last two years as well! Hopefully this is finally the year they come back.".
Frontman Jarvis Cocker last graced the festival stage in 2022 with his other band, Jarv Is. Band members Adam Betts, Andrew McKinney and Emma Smith were part of the Pulp line-up for their 'Encore' tour through 2023 and 2024. Like this story?
