Shots have been fired outside of a regional courtroom in Germany where a high-profile trial for the fatal shooting of a boxer is ongoing. Police said a ‘major operation’ is underway outside of Bielefeld Court, where the trial for boxer Besar Nimani is being held.

Nimani was shot dead while dining in an outdoor cafe in Germany last spring. One of his killers is still on the run. Neue Westfälische has reported that the defendant’s father and brother were both shot outside of the courthouse, but police haven’t confirmed.
BILD reported that ‘several’ family members of the defendant were shot dead. Shots were reportedly fired around 1.30 pm, right after the trial concluded for the day.
