STEPHEN HENDRY has revealed that he was stopped by POLICE on the way to work for the BBC at the recent Masters event at Ally Pally. The Scottish seven-time snooker world champ is one of the most respected commentators in the business. And he was on his way to the venue for a session when he revealed a policeman stopped him and told him his back registration plate was obscured by dirt.

Thankfully the cop realised who he was and let the Scot go ahead with his business. Speaking to eventual Masters champion Shaun Murphy on the latest episode of his Cue Tips YouTube show, Hendry said: "I got stopped by a police going into the Alexandra Palace.
