This weekend, Dancing on Ice viewers will see Mollie Pearce take to the rink with her professional partner Colin Grafton. However, before she met with her partner for the series, Mollie sustained an injury. While speaking to Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary on Friday's This Morning, the reality star detailed hurting herself while in training. She said: "I was doing my training with my local coach and I basically had a fall. It's so easily done, I fractured my left wrist. Which isn't great, considering I only have one in the first place! It's not the best thing!".
Mollie explained her and Colin had to do a lot of off-ice training because of the injury she sustained. Alison asked Colin how he felt knowing his celebrity partner had hurt herself before he began to work with her. He replied: "It was a tricky one! We were both so excited to get going and then to have that right from the beginning, it was a little bit of a buzzkill, but we made the best of it and we really used our time to our advantage.".
Alison asked if they started working together in the studio first before the ice, to which they both confirmed. Mollie added: "It was difficult. To be honest, we really got close, I think because we had more time to chat and we spent more time together.
"It really helped our partnership. We have a really great friendship, which helps so much on the ice. We did the best with what we could and we didn't waste any time.". When asked how she's finding the experience overall, she detailed the highs and lows of training. Mollie commented: "I'm loving it, but it is a rollercoaster. It's so up and down, one day you feel like you've got it. Then the next, I feel like I've never been on the ice before.".
