James Middleton has shared a sweet image of his son and beloved family dog all hugged up for Valentine's Day. The Princess of Wales' younger brother, 37, delighted fans with a rare glimpse of his one-year-old son, Inigo, who he shares with his wife Alizée Thevenet. In a heartwarming post captured on Instagram, the adorable tot could be seen cuddling the family dog Isla, while in another photo, he appeared to be clutching the pet's paw.

The nephew of Kate Middleton - who today publicly marked Valentine's for the first time - was dressed in an adorable beige-coloured onesie in the first snap and a sky blue cardigan in the other shot. It appears the differing images reveal how Inigo celebrated the official love day in 2024 vs today - with the significance being cute cuddles and time spent with Isla on both years. The doting father and avid dog lover captured the sweet moment with a message about 'pure love'.

He wrote: 'How it started… Valentines 2024. How it’s going… Valentines 2025. Pure Love'. Fans eager to catch a full glimpse of baby Inigo's face will sadly be disappointed, however, as his father only shared a portion of the youngster's face, as well as a photo featuring the back of his head. Meanwhile, the tot's snazzy wardrobe was perhaps courtesy of his very famous aunt and future queen. James, who lives in Berkshire, revealed Inigo has been wearing hand-me-down clothes gifted by his sister Kate. The lucky youngster has already been treated to several royal hand-me-downs from his cousins Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six. Brands known to be loved by Kate for her children include Boden, Ralph Lauren and UK-based label Amaia - meaning Inigo has been fashionably dressed from a very young age.

And in an interview with HELLO! Magazine, James said his sister Pippa Matthews has also given some hand-me-downs. The news comes as his older sister, Kate, publicly marked Valentine's Day for the first time ever with a sweet message. Kate, 43, and William, 42, shared an adorable snap of themselves on X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram to mark the romantic holiday. The photo, set against a stunning woodland backdrop, is taken from the Princess's deeply emotive video released in September in which she announced she had completed chemotherapy. It was filmed in the grounds of the Sandringham Estate during the summer, where the Prince and Princess recuperated as a family with their children George, Charlotte and Louis.

The photo was posted on the Prince and Princess's social media accounts with a simple heart to mark the couple's enduring love - especially after a 'brutal' year, in William's own words. Earlier this year her younger brother James opened up about his own mental health, along with heartwarming photos of his family on a ski trip. He candidly spoke about his past struggles and reflected on being 'excited for the future' as well as seeing his son Inigo, one, grow up.

Posting a carousel of glossy snaps from snowy mountains on Instagram, fans were delighted to get a glimpse of his adorable toddler trying his hand at the slopes. Elsewhere, James's wife Alizee was glamorous as ever as she posed with a glass of wine amid the idyllic scenes. The sweet family huddled up together - joined by two of their dogs - in the snaps from their winter getaway to the mountains. In the caption, James wrote: 'A different type of January blues….

'The January blues used to hit me hard…and to some extent it still does - the lingering aftermath of the festive season and long dark nights mixed in with overly ambitious New Year’s resolutions meant I felts as if I only just about surviving and it was only the start of the year…. 'But a few years ago I set myself a new mantra which was inspired by my dogs. Don’t spend every moment thinking of the one to come, or ones in the past.
