TV star Jane McDonald has announced an exciting career update. After stepping down from her popular Channel 5 show Cruising back in 2020, the 61 year old has now announced a brand-new project set to air in 2026. Jane took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter to share her excitement, posting: "I'm thrilled to share that I'm teaming up with JetSetTV for their first project! On her website, the 61-year-old expanded: "This marks the start of a new chapter in my eight-year collaboration with Executive Producer Mark Powell. The upcoming series will be produced by Kieron Collins and Mark Powell through their company JetSetTV and will hit your screens in January 2026.".
Giving a sneak peek into what's in store, she added: "This is an amazing project and we can't wait to give you all the behind-the-scenes scoop on the production soon. But for now, it's time to pack our bags and get ready for an exciting filming adventure!" Her fans shared their excitement for Jane's new venture, as one penned: "Looking forward to seeing this." Another echoed: "Looking forward to seeing this Jane. Safe travels.".

Jane bid farewell to her role as host of Channel 5's Cruising with Jane McDonald in February 2020, shifting her focus to her music career and other ventures. During her four-and-a-half-year tenure, she helmed eight series, documenting an impressive 38 cruises and earning the nickname the "Queen of Cruise".
The star's television career spans over two decades, dating back to 1998 when she first appeared in the BBC One docu-soap The Cruise. The 12-episode series drew in a staggering 13 million viewers, catapulting Jane to overnight fame and making her a household name.
Jane was a regular on ITV daytime show Loose Women for more than ten decades, but decided to bid farewell to the programme in 2014.
