Casper Smart's home has reportedly been raided by authorities after they learned of an alleged cannabis grow operation at his residence. Smart, who dated Jennifer Lopez on off from 2011 to 2016, had his Los Angeles home searched by the police last week after they received a tip about an alleged cannabis grow operation, according to TMZ.

Police received a search warrant following the tip and served Smart with it the morning of December 23. During the search, officers reportedly discovered a small-to-medium sized grow operation. Casper, 37, was reportedly at the home with a woman at the time of the raid.

Casper was not taken into custody following the alleged discovery, and instead was cited by officers and released at the scene, according to the report. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office will now determine if Smart will be charged in the matter. DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Smart for comment. California state law allows adults 21 and older to cultivate up to six cannabis plants in or on the premises of their private residence, per the Los Angeles County Consumer & Business Affairs.

The plants are required to be in a locked area and cannot be visible to the public. Casper isn't letting the raid ruin his holidays, however, as he's currently in Las Vegas, according to his Instagram Stories. Casper grew to prominence back in 2011 after he began a romantic relationship with Jennifer, who is 18 years his senior.
