Joe Rogan has suggested why he believes Conor McGregor's UFC career may have come to an end. Despite ongoing speculation surrounding a potential return to the Octagon, more than three years have now passed since the Irishman's last fight. In July 2021, McGregor suffered a serious injury during his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.
After later revealing he had entered the bout carrying an injury, McGregor suffered a broken tibia in the first round leading the ringside doctor to stop the fight. Since then the former two-weight UFC champion has continually hinted at a comeback, and was booked to face rival Michael Chandler in June before being forced to withdraw after sustaining a broken toe whilst preparing for the fight.
McGregor also recently appeared in court in his native Ireland accused of 'brutally raping and battering' 35-year-old Nikita Hand at a hotel in Dublin in 2018. Joe Rogan has revealed why he believes Conor McGregor may not fight again in the UFC. The Irishman has been out of competition since suffering a broken tibia against Dustin Poirier in 2021.
McGregor was recently ordered to pay damages after being found liable for assault in civil court. He was ordered to pay nearly €250,000 (£208,000) in damages after a jury found him liable of assaulting Hand, an accusation he vehemently denies. Speaking on McGregor's future in fighting, Rogan claimed the 36-year-old's lifestyle away from competition could preclude a potential return.
