Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has given fans a divisive Christmas present in the form of a shocking music video that sparked Satanic panic in her Instagram comments. The 44-year-old recorded the track during a season three episode of her family’s reality show, The Kardashians, which aired last year. Her brother-in-law Travis Barker produced the song and it was released through his DTA Records and her Kimsaprincess, Inc.
But it's the visuals for the song, directed by Nadia Lee Cohen and Charlie Denis, that have got everyone in a frenzy. A clip from the music video shared with Kim's 359million Instagram followers shows the mum-of-four in a seemingly comatose state as she crawls around a traditional American household as a bizarre melee of events take place.
In the film, intended to look like old VHS footage, shows a woman hacking down a Christmas tree at one point and a man dressed as Jesus Christ walking through the chaotic home. In the full video, available on YouTube, Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin makes a cameo. After watching a blonde Kim crawling across the floor in a house, and throughout each room, the visual ends with a man dressed in a Santa suit holding a camcorder. He moves the camera to the side and it’s revealed to be Macaulay!.
Kim's attempt at avant-garde art has gone down like a lead balloon with her fans, with many accusing her of blasphemy and poor taste. "Girl what the fuck is this," one confused viewer asked Kim in the comments, with another penning underneath the video: "What in the methamphetamine Christmas blasphemy is this?".
