A London flat has hit the market for a steal at just £70,000. It's located in a highly desirable area on Cumberland Street in Pimlico, housed within an imposing white building - but there's a catch. Measuring a mere nine square metres, the interior makes for rather cramped living conditions. In fact, floor plan dimensions of 2.06m x 3.25m show it's even narrower than the Tube carriages at Pimlico underground station, just a stone's throw away.

Only two photographs were shared in the property listing, revealing a main living space dominated by a cushioned seating area, storage cupboards and a wall-mounted television. A couple of steps lead up to a tiny kitchen area featuring a sink and cabinets, though it's unclear whether there's an oven or hob.

One bed and a fitted shower are also mentioned but not shown in pictures. The 'apartment' is situated on the ground floor of a five-storey mid-terrace building, according to Luxury Property News. The property description, managed by Auction House London, reads: "The property is situated in the highly sought out area of Westminster. The open spaces of Warwick Square are within easy reach. Transport links are provided by Pimlico underground station (Victoria line) and Victoria rail station.".

Despite this, there's another snag. Turns out, the property does not have planning permission for residential use. As a result, buyers may not have the freedom to make major changes to the property. The description adds: "We understand that the property does not currently have planning permission for residential use.
