LUKE LITTLER is happy to miss out on normal teenage life – because he can earn up to £10,000 a night by playing darts. The Nuke secured a whopping £315,000 when he won the Premier League last year on his debut appearance. That figure included £40,000 secured from four nightly wins on the circuit against the world’s best players. Most 18-year-olds could only dream of earning that type of money in their lifetimes, especially when many are likely to be on the £8.60-per-hour National Minimum Wage.

Littler, who left school with one GCSE, said: “It’s just a case of missing out on things. “I do go out with my friends. Whenever I come home from a tournament, I will always make time for it. “Whereas they could be out near enough every night, but I am playing for tens of thousands of pounds. “That’s what I have got to do. That’s what I want to do. It’s decent. “There’s expectations on me – it always comes in every tournament.

"But what I have done, I have done quite big things. I know that there are loads of youngsters out there.
