Last year, E4's Married at First Sight UK saw 12 brave couples tie the knot with complete strangers, leading to a series filled with fiery arguments, emotional moments, and even drinks being flung. While not all participants found romance, some, like Amy and Adam—who were originally matched with Polly and Luke—developed strong friendships.
In a sneak peek of the upcoming reunion episode, the group faces the daunting 'truth box', which Kristina dubs 'the box of horrors'. Amy appears visibly anxious about the impending question, muttering: "Oh no, no, no, no.". When Adam opens the box and glimpses the question, his reaction is one of sheer surprise, and he quickly shuts it again, reports OK!.
Turning to Amy, he reads aloud from the card: "Amy, why do you think people are so keen to see us become a couple?" After a pause, Amy thoughtfully responded: "I think it's because we bring out the best in each other. "We bounce off each other, and we have an amazing friendship. We're always laughing. You care about my feelings, I care about yours, and we just support each other through everything.".
While Amy shared her thoughts, leaving her fellow stars touched by her words, Adam seemed to avoid eye contact as she spoke. After she finished, Kristina chimed in with an "Aw, that's cute!" and probed if there was potential for their friendship to grow.
Amy playfully responded that she 'can't comment' as it wasn't part of the honesty box challenge. Adam cheekily suggested: "I'm sorry, but if you want that question, you best go type it up!" triggering laughter all around. Orson, curious about any romantic developments, asked about kisses, to which Adam admitted: "There's been no kissing... so far." His hint didn't go unnoticed as he took a sip from his drink, prompting the group to start chanting for a kiss right then and there.
The pair quickly changed the subject, but later, away from the group, they reflected on their relationship. Amy expressed uncertainty about what lay ahead as she commented: "I'm not sure what the future holds for me and Adam. I don't think the book is fully closed.".
Adam flirtatiously replied: "Maybe some little mini Adams could be on the cards? Or maybe we could just practice.". Amy, caught off guard by his comment, laughed and then looked away, feeling a bit awkward. Married at First Sight UK Reunion Special airs Monday 24 February at 9pm on E4.
