Manchester United have been told not to bring Viktor Gyokeres to the club by a former Premier League star because of one key flaw in his play. The Swedish striker is Europe's leading goalscorer in 2024 with his stunning exploits at Sporting Lisbon seeing him bag 60 goals for both club and country in the calendar year.

His ridiculous goalscoring record since moving to the Portuguese club from Coventry last year has caught the attention of Premier League suitors and Ruben Amorim's arrival at Man United only added fuel to the fire. Amorim got the best out of Gyokeres during their time together at Sporting with the striker helping fire the club to the Portuguese top-flight title in his first campaign and scoring 26 goals in 24 games this season.

So far the newly-appointed United boss has remained tight-lipped on trying to lure Gyokeres away from his former team, while Arsenal have also been linked with the centre forward. However, Watford and Premier League icon Troy Deeney believes both clubs would be making a mistake in forking out what would be a huge sum to secure Gyokeres' services.
