Virgin River has made a triumphant return with its sixth season on Netflix, and fans are abuzz with excitement for what has been dubbed the wedding of the decade. Longtime viewers who have been eagerly anticipating Mel Monroe (played by Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan's (Martin Henderson) stroll down the aisle might wonder if their big day will unfold without a hitch, or if unexpected twists are in store?.
Beyond the primary love story, Virgin River is brimming with drama, like Preacher's (Colin Lawrence) budding relationship with firefighter Kaia Bryant (Kandyse McClure). In the previous chapter, audiences saw Preacher confess his love for his new flame Kaia, who wasn't quite ready to reciprocate the sentiment.
With the entire sixth season released yesterday (Thursday, December 19), fans are set to binge-watch in droves to discover whether Kaia will eventually reciprocate those three little words during the new episodes, reports the Daily Record. In an exclusive chat with Screen Time, actress McClure shared insights on how her personal romantic experiences helped her connect with Kaia's complex emotional journey with Preacher.
"Part of the feeling that I had and that I felt I knew about Kaia was some of the intersections from some of my own personal life," she acknowledged. "Having come out of kind of a difficult relationship in my early 30s, or mid 30s, and having spent quite a bit of time alone previously, it's like, when you're an independent perso and all you have to worry about is yourself, you develop a kind of ease about that. Or simplicity or sense of safety.".
