After riding on to the stage at MediaCityUK in Salford he then got flustered when he suffered a live TV blunder. The comedian, 51, is still celebrating his mammoth cross-country cycle challenge which saw him raise over £10million for Children In Need.

Paddy undertook a 300-mile bike ride, beginning in Wrexham, Wales, last month and crossing the finish line in Glasgow on in mid November. As he arrived into the studio in style, Gabby Logan then asked him to present an award at the last minute. Alex Scott asked: 'Paddy some nice wheels there... have you recovered from Children In Need?'.

Gabby then said: 'Paddy, it is time to do the honours.'. 'Oh right, ok... am I reading something?' he replied, getting visibly flustered, 'they've not told me this... and the winner is...'. 'Jean Paton,' Laura Kenny added. The TV personality undertook the cycling challenge on his dream childhood bike, a Raleigh Chopper, painted in the colours of the charity mascot Pudsey.
