The next big Pokémon Presents event is today (February 27) - and you may even be able to watch it over your lunch break!. Pokémon Presents is a show where we get told about the latest upcoming events and products under the Pokémon umbrella. Last year, we heard about Pokémon Sleep, plans for Pokémon Go and Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, and we had our first proper tease of Pokémon Legends Z-A.
And all that was crammed into a 12-minute-odd stream. Now that’s some efficiency. Here’s what’s happening with Pokémon Presents 2025. Pokémon Presents 2025 begins streaming at 2pm on February 27. It’s not expected to last for more than 30 minutes, judging by the two most recent Pokémon Presents events. Unlike other shows of this type, the number of these presentations per year varies annually. There was just the one in 2024, perhaps due to a delay in the announcement of the Switch 2.
You can stream Pokémon Presents “live” (it’s a pre-recorded show) at 2pm, UK time. From then on, it will be available on the official Pokémon YouTube channels. Not all of the various Pokémon channels have set up a page for the stream already, but Pokémon Asia’s English language channel sure has.
For the average Pokémon fan, the big news this year is likely to be a closer look at Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Last year, the show presented a short teaser that showed us nothing of the actual game working, instead just indicating it will take place in Lumiose City. Given Legends: Z-A is set to launch this year, it’s high time we got an actual look at the game in motion.
This brings up a tricky clash, though. Pokémon Legends: Z-A is almost certainly going to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Switch. And in the spirit of showing off your best stuff, you’d expect the Pokémon team to present footage of the game as it appears on Switch 2.
But Nintendo has barely shown us any Switch 2 gameplay so far, and the next Nintendo Direct show on the console is not until April 2. We’ll just have to see how his one plays out. There is also speculation the show may reveal another game entirely. Top contenders are an early tease for the next generation of main-line Pokémon game, or the long-rumoured remake of Pokémon Black & White.
The show is also almost certain to provide updates on The Pokémon Trading Card Game and Pokémon Go, the next season of which is reportedly to be named Might and Mastery. Most Pokémon fans are probably well-versed in Pokémon Presents by now. But if you aren’t, this show began in the summer of 2020.
