THE popular Amazon Fire Stick app has unveiled 16 classic Warner Bros movies Brits can now stream for free. YouTube, an online video platform available on the Amazon Fire Stick, has come to rival fellow streaming services with their wide range of films, shows and content.

In recent years, the streaming service Netflix has seen a sharp rise in its prices. That has left a gap in the market for cheaper online which YouTube has moved to fill. YouTube hopes to do this by offering a wider range of free films. Thanks to a partnership with Warner Bros, it has announced that 16 of Hollywood’s biggest movies will now be free to watch.

The huge list of films includes movies made right from the mid-1980s until the late 2000s. Although it hasn't included any modern pictures in the deal, one of the films is a Tom Hanks classic. The films include:. YouTube isn’t the only platform that has started to offer a wider range of free content.

The streaming service Plex has a library of over 600 free channels which are available in a variety of countries. Its UK site offers classic episodes of favourites including Mr Bean and Pointless, as well as some of the biggest British films. Plex is available on any device, but is particularly popular with Amazon Fire Stick users.
