Prince Harry is all smiles and laughter as he shushes fans at the Invictus Games, despite Meghan being 1000 miles away on Valentine's Day. The Duke of Sussex had to put his finger to his lips to signal to noisy Nigerian supporters that they had to be quiet at the swimming event of the veterans games. The boisterous group had continued chanting when organisers of the event at the UBC Aquatics Centre asked for silence so competitors could hear the starting buzzer.

When the excitable group continued to make a racket Harry turned to them and did his best to bring some order so the race could start. Despite being so far from his wife, who chose to head back to California early to be with their two children, Harry was spotted happily posing for selfies and joking with supporters of the South Korean and Danish teams. Meghan Markle has also been posting more love-themed content on social media just hours after a gushing post saying she was 'missing her Valentine' Prince Harry.

The former working royal - who quit the UK in 2020 for a life of luxury in a £12million Californian mansion - shared a rare video of her children Archie, five, and Lilibet, three, as they made Valentine's Day treats with red bagels. It came a week after Meghan laid on the love for Harry at the Invictus Games in Vancouver, kissing and cuddling the fifth in line to the throne in front of the cameras following US President Donald Trump branding her 'terrible'.

Now in this latest display of affection, the ex-actress has shared an insight into her family life of making cakes with her children as their father spends Valentine's Day away from Meghan in Canada.

Earlier today the Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram to post a photo of herself kissing Harry hours after Kate Middleton and Prince William did the same. Meghan wrote in the caption: 'Back home taking care of our babies, and missing my Valentine, as he continues on at the Invictus Games, changing lives and reminding all of us of the power of healing and resilience through these incredible veterans and their families.

'Beyond proud of my husband and what he’s created. My love, I will eat burgers & fries and fish & chips with you forever. Thank you for you.'. She signed the post 'M' and added the hashtag #lovewins - a slogan usually used to celebrate LGBTQ+ couples. Harry will stay in Canada to watch the rest of the tournament for injured service personnel and veterans, which will end with Sunday's closing ceremony.

Following his wife's departure, the prince reportedly took a day off to relax and 'unwind' ahead of attending the remaining events solo. Plans were not given in advance for security reasons, and a source close to the couple said: 'This was always planned. Meghan is going home to be with her children. 'Meghan left the Games in Dusseldorf early after five days to go home. This is Prince Harry's event and she is there to support him, but this was planned.'.

The first picture of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's daughter Lilibet has been released in a Christmas card on Dec 23, 2021. It comes just hours after the Prince and Princess of Wales shared their first ever Valentine's Day post. In a rare and intimate move, the Prince and Princess of Wales's X and Instagram accounts shared a snap of the royal couple; a still taken from Kate's deeply emotive video released in September to confirm she had completed chemotherapy.

The photo showed Prince William kissing his wife's head as they sat among nature in the woodland of the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, where they spent the summer. Sharing the photo, the official social media accounts chose a slightly more modest statement of their love; posting simply a heart. The photo marked the couple's enduring love - especially after a 'brutal' year, in William's own words. The Prince described his horror year at the end of 2024 during a visit to South Africa for the Earthshot Prize, saying: 'It's probably been the hardest year in my life.'.

It was an 'annus horribilis' for the Wales family as the Princess received preventative chemotherapy after cancerous cells had been discovered in her body during an abdominal operation in January 2024. At the same time, it was revealed that William's father King Charles was receiving cancer treatment.
