Shoppers are singing the praises of an affordable stubble trimmer and shaver that's helping them keep their facial hair "neat and tidy". The Remington Omniblade is gaining a legion of fans due to its hybrid design, which allows for a close shave or just a quick trim. Retailing at £34.99 in Debenhams, the shaver is "designed to give you that close, clean-shaven look", while the Omniblade caters to all hair types with its 35mm main blade. The device comes with three comb lengths of 1mm, 3mm or 5mm, allowing you to style your facial hair as you please.

It's fully waterproof and powered by two AA batteries, providing a 30 minute usage time. The product has an average rating of four out of five stars from the 27 reviewers who've shared their thoughts so far. One said: "Having always been an avid fan of the manual razors I was beyond surprised at this. The packaging is impressive, with each section compartmentalised and the main attraction itself coming with additional heads for different cutting styles. Would highly suggest for anyone looking for a razor without the hassle of using creams/lotions but achieving the same cut in half the time and effort!".

Another was equally pleased: "This is a great little razor, perfect for trimming your beard down or just tidying up the stray bits of stubble on your face. Would highly recommend this to anyone and it also comes with a variety of blade heads.". One customer was over the moon with the gadget's stamina, sharing: "As close to a close shave without having a close shave. Brilliant trimmer for the money, battery life is very good, very comfortable in your hand. Would definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for a new trimmer", reports the Express.

However, it wasn't all high praise as some did have their gripes. A dissatisfied user reported: "I tried using it without the guides for a close shave but I found it awkward to use and ended up cutting my neck.". While another complained: "It can shave without any problems and other times it tends to pull depending on the length of your facial hair.". Over at Boots, you'll find Philips offering a wallet-friendly 5-in-1 trimmer. The OneBlade, retailing at £21, boasts an adjustable comb for lengths between 1-5mm and a dual-direction blade ensuring maximum visibility while shaving. It's watertight too, and its stainless-steel blades promise solid performance for up to four months.
