Nearly 40 Premier League players are just one yellow card away from being suspended over the Christmas and Boxing Day gameweek. All 20 top flight teams will be in action on December 26 and 27, meaning they will need to train on Christmas Day. However, there are a large number who could see themselves take no part in those games having already received four yellow cards this season.

Players who receive a total of five yellow cards in their first 19 matches will be given a one-match suspension. All 20 sides will play this weekend with 39 players knowing they'll receive a suspension if they are to get booked. League leaders Liverpool have three men on that list, those being Darwin Nunez, Ryan Gravenberch and the injured Ibrahima Konate.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have just one, Wednesday's hat-trick hero Gabriel Jesus who announced that his girlfriend was pregnant last week. Harry Maguire is Manchester United's sole name on the list while Bernardo Silva is the only representative of local rivals Manchester City.
