A new teaser for Shrek 5 reveals Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphey and more stars will appear in the highly-anticipated flick. But fans have been left stunned over the casting of Shrek's daughter.

Zendaya will star in the film as Shrek and Fiona's teen. The move has a release date of December 23, 2026. This is the first film in the franchise since Shrek Forever After in 2010. The role comes as Zendaya will also star in Dune: Messiah, the fourth Spider-Man film and season three of Euphoria.

In a trailer for the announcement, Donkey asks the magic mirror, "Who is the fairest one of them all?" as the mirror responds, "Why Shrek, of course.". Zendaya's character appears to be edgy, as she is sporting purple lipstick, a nose ring and a top bun.
