ALEJANDRO GARNACHO has broken his silence hours after making a cryptic post on social media. The Manchester United star was subbed off during the 3-2 win over Ipswich Town at Old Trafford last night. Garnacho, 20, was taken out of the action in the first half following the red card to Patrick Dorgu.

Manager Ruben Amorim replaced the Argentine with the more defensive-minded Noussair Mazraoui. Garnacho did not take the decision lightly as he seemingly stormed off down the tunnel. Amorim was slammed by fans who labelled the substitution a "garbage decision".

The Red Devils went on to win the game thanks to a winning goal from defender Harry Maguire. Garnacho posted a cryptic picture of himself looking disgruntled on Instagram after the match. Speaking after the match, Amorim was quizzed about the player's attitude.

The Portuguese coach brought up out-on-loan forward Marcus Rashford in his response. CASINO SPECIAL - BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS. He said: "You are making a connection with Rashford, right? I know, I know. "What I'm saying is I'm going to talk obviously with Garnacho about that [going down the tunnel].

"So I will talk about that if you want in the next press conference.". Garnacho has since taken to Instagram again with another post. He shared a snap of the team celebrating Maguire's goal with a positive caption. It read: "Important three points! Team.".

Fans have reacted to the apparent change in Garnacho's attitude on social media. One posted: "PR team got hold of his phone at last.". A second commented: "Ruben read him the riot act.". A third joked: "Someone's had a talking to.". A fourth wrote: "This should have been his first post. But we move.".

A fifth said: "Can't backtrack like that because you've been told to.". Another added: "His management team has taken over his phone.". Much like the majority of the squad, Garnacho has endured a mixed season at Old Trafford. In the Premier League he has only scored three times in 26 appearances.

Club legend Roy Keane has weighed in on Garnahco's recent performances and claimed he is only good enough to be a sub. The Irishman suggest that the tricky winger can not be "trusted" and he is more suited to making an impact off the bench. Rio Ferdinand, however, insisted Garnacho shows "b******s" compared to many of his team-mates.

In January he was tipped with a shock exit from the club with Chelsea and Napoli both interested in his signature. The switch didn't materialise but the Argentine's future could yet lay away from the North West. Amorim has admitted any squad rebuild at Old Trafford will have to see them cash in on their prize assets.

MANCHESTER UNITED eased their fears of the drop in a topsy-turvy relegation six-pointer with Ipswich. The Red Devils triumphed 3-2 despite playing the second half with ten men. A major cock-up from Patrick Dorgu and Andre Onana saw Ipswich take a third-minute lead through Jaden Philogene.

Then, after United had recovered to lead 2-1, Dorgu saw a straight red card for a poor challenge on Omari Hutchinson. Philogene scored again to level it before the break only for Harry Maguire to nod in to be United’s saviour. But who was United’s best player on the night?.
