Great British Bake Off winner and Strictly Come Dancing star John Whaite has ditched his TV career after signing up to X-rated subscription site, OnlyFans. The TV star, who shot to fame on BBC's Bake Off back in 2012, went on to win the show and quickly became a household name. After his success in the kitchen, John went on to take part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2021, where he was paired up with professional dancer Johannes Radebe.
During the competition, John said that he fell in love with his professional dance partner Johannes and discussed his feelings with his partner of 15 years, Paul Atkins, from the beginning. After his confession, John's partner spent some time away from him amid the huge blow that he was in love with his Strictly partner. However, the pair have since gotten back together, and now John has joined OnlyFans in a brand-new career venture.
John is now offering “solo” or “collaborative” content from £10 subscriptions per month, or £27 for a three-month package. His OnlyFans profile, which boasts an impressive 116 posts so far, sees a photograph of the former Bake Off winner completely naked while laying face-down on a bed. Alongside the photo, John wrote: “The side of me you haven’t seen… yet”. The TV star is now running his OnlyFans website alongside his successful baking business, called Ruff Puff Brownies, which he runs alongside his husband Paul. The pair sell hand-baked goods in batches and it appears that their business is booming thanks to their huge following on social media which spans almost 40,000 people.
John recently revealed that he was taking a break from his TV career. "Since leaving the TV industry, I decided to focus on business. Now I run two fairly successful and exciting businesses,” he told Mail Online. “One sells brownies and cookies while the other is a meatier enterprise. If you want to buy my sweet treats head to Ruff Puff Brownies and if you want to buy my meat head to my OnlyFans page.".
It comes after Strictly Come Dancing sensation Johannes candidly broke his silence about the deep connection he shared with his John while on the BBC show. John and Johannes became the first male same-sex couple, and it's clear the bond they formed is one that Johannes finds hard to forget. Last year, the professional dancer, 36, reminisced about his time with the "caring" John, expressing his gratitude for the tenderness shown to him during their performances. "He lifted me like I was a piece of feather. I'm a well-built man and I've always lifted women and I know the level of care that goes into that. For me to experience it for the first time was quite special and I have to thank John Whaite for being really caring with me.".
