Wynne Evans, known for starring on Strictly Come Dancing, has announced the passing of his older brother, Huw. In a heartfelt tribute shared on Instagram, Evans described Huw as his "hero and inspiration.". Wynne posted a series of selfies he had taken with his older brother in the emotional tribute. His full caption read: “I’m so sad to say that my gorgeous eldest brother has passed away. My big brother was my hero and my inspiration. Huw my darling I will miss you so much and am so glad I got to have you with me all my life.”.
Huw Evans was the eldest of three brothers from Carmarthen, South Wales, and worked as a barrister. Wynne's other brother, Mark, is also a singer, and the two previously co-hosted a show called "Sibling Rivalry." Reflecting on his childhood, Wynne previously shared with The Times: "I was the youngest of three boys: one brother is a barrister and the other an opera singer.
“My father, David, was a council building inspector, and my half-Belgian mother, Elizabeth, was a hairdresser before she turned campaigner to save a local theatre. We lived in an end-of-terrace Victorian house with an outside loo.I didn’t go on a plane until I was 24.”.
Following the announcement, fans and colleagues have expressed their condolences and support to Evans during this difficult time.
