Nogueira was an inspiration to many as he overcame obesity before becoming a bodybuilding champion. One social media post read: "Today, at 39, I have collected 25 titles in sports, including being a WFF world champion. "I am a bit of a stickler for my diets and 100% sociable to those who give me the opportunity to show who I really am.". He is an eight-time Campeão Mundial champion - Brazil's Pro Bodybuilding organisation.

Nogueira won a staggering 25 titles in his career including one in the World Fitness Federation (WFF). Tributes have poured in for Nogueira following his death. One read: "Today I say goodbye to one of the best friends that life has given me. "My coach, my brother, a guy who always did everything with his heart, without expecting anything in return, just for true friendship. "Thank you for everything you did for me, for every piece of advice, for every moment. You will be greatly missed, but your memory and teachings will remain forever. Rest in peace, my friend. I love you forever.".
