Detectives have arrested three men for conspiracy to murder following the Dalston shooting that left a nine-year-old girl seriously injured last May. The men - aged 36, 35 and 28 - were taken into custody in the early hours of Tuesday and have been released on bail as the investigation continues.
The arrests are linked to the incident on Kingsland High Street at 21:20pm on Wednesday, May 29, which also left three other men injured. The young victim's family has been informed of the arrests and continues to receive support from specially trained officers.
Detective Chief Inspector Ben Dalloway, leading the investigation, said: "A little girl's life was traumatically changed on the evening of Wednesday, 29 May. The dangerous individual responsible for those life-changing injuries remains on our streets, and people out there know who pulled the trigger.".
Police are appealing for information about a motorcyclist seen on a Ducati Monster in the area at the time of the shooting. "This investigation is not slowing down," DCI Dalloway added. "We recognise people may be apprehensive about sharing information, but it is imperative they do so.".
