A new BBC adaptation of children's book featuring a little fish with a big imagination features stars from the world of comedy and TV.. Tiddler is the twelfth animated adaptation based on Donaldson and Scheffler's work, joining the ranks with The Gruffalo, Superworm, Tabby McTat, and Zog.
Tiddler will air at 2.35pm on Christmas Day on BBC One and it's the 12th animated special of their work on the BBC following The Gruffalo, Superworm, Tabby McTat and Zog. Producer Barney Goodland says: "Tiddler is a beautifully illustrated and imaginative underwater adventure that we are thrilled to be bringing to screen. Its celebration of the power of storytelling speaks to everything that Magic Light does and diving deep into that theme has been a real joy.
"We're excited to share our adaptation of this absolute classic Julia and Axel story with families this Christmas.". Tiddler will also feature the voices of child actors Reuben Kirby in the title role, and Theo Fraser as Johnny Dory. The half-hour animated special will be voiced by a stellar cast from the world of comedy and acting.
But who appears in the children's special?. Hannah Waddingham - Narrator. . Ted Lasso and Game of Thrones actress Hannah Waddingham leads Tiddler’s cast as the narrator. She has also appeared in Sex Education, Benidorm, Krypton and famously co-hosted the Eurovision Song Content in 2023.
