Tina Malone has revealed how she’ll be spending Christmas after her husband Paul Chase’s tragic death in March. Paul tragically passed away earlier this year after taking his own life, leaving The Shameless star and her family devastated. In her first Christmas without her husband, Tina revealed she would be paying tribute to Paul with her family during the festive period, by sharing stories about his life.
The star also revealed that she’d be wearing matching Christmas pyjamas with their daughter Flame, as they listen to Paul’s favourite songs. Sharing her plans with Closer Magazine, Tina said: “We will raise a glass for him at Christmas lunch and talk about him around the table. We’ll play his favourite music and share our favourite stories.”.
Heartbreakingly, Tina then went on to say she’d ‘never get over’ her loss. "The loss and the sorrow of losing Paul is insurmountable, I will never, ever get over it," she said. ”But I have to be strong and resilient for Flame. All the ‘firsts’ are difficult,” she continued. Although Christmas will be hard, Tina said she’d be “making it magical and special” for her daughter.
Tina will be carrying on the matching pyjamas tradition she carried out with Paul each Christmas Eve, revealing she’d be doing the same with Flame and her mother. "Flame has asked me to buy Paul a pair too, which we will keep with us,” she added. Alongside this, Tina, her mother and Flame will be joined for Christmas dinner by Paul’s dad, Ste. In the evening, they’ll also be joined by Paul’s siblings.
