Jeffrey Lurie's Philadelphia Eagles were beaten by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2023 edition of the Super Bowl - and he will be looking for revenge, as they aim to deny Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs a historic three-peat of titles. Jeffrey Lurie purchased the Philadelphia Eagles in 1994 and won the first Super Bowl in 2018.

The Lurie-era at Philadelphia has seen two Super Bowl losses, once to New England Patriots in 2005, and once to Kansas City Chiefs in 2023. Jeffrey Lurie is an American businessman who has owned the Philadelphia Eagles since 1994. Lurie began his career in film, working for General Cinema Corporation, a company headed by his grandfather and uncle. In 1985, he founded Chestnut Hill Productions, a company that produced a number of Hollywood movies and TV shows.

In 2011, the Lurie produced film Inside Job won an Oscar. He won a second Oscar for Inocente two years later. Lurie was linked to purchasing a number of teams prior to his acquisition of the Philadelphia Eagles, including the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams. The Eagles have four Super Bowl appearances, three during the ownership of Lurie, and only one win. Grammy Award-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar is scheduled to perform at the half-time show in Super Bowl LIX.
