Following the decision by Channel 4 to remove The Simpsons from its usual place on the TV schedule, fans can be rest assured they still have options to watch some episodes for free. There is also a simple way for them to rewatch classic episodes of America's favourite family.
The animated series that centres around the iconic family members Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie along with other residents of Springfield, has been a regular feature on the UK channel since 2004. However, it was confirmed this week that The Simpsons would vacate its 6:30pm weekday Channel 4 slot from January, and be shown on E4 instead.

It is just now they will be shown on the E4 instead, which is channel 13 on Freeview.
A select number of episodes will still be available to stream for free on the Channel 4 app. Although they will only be accessible for a limited amount of time. At the time of writing, a selection of five episodes can be viewed on the app. This includes three episodes from Season 12, one from Season 18 and the Christmas episode from Season 30.
E4 will be the place to see newest episodes for free but they won't be broadcast at the same time as their original airdate in the US. However, the best ways for fans to watch both classic episodes and new instalments remains via a subscription to Disney+.
