The White Lotus and Harry Potter star Jason Isaacs will be appearing on the panel of ITV's Oscars Live to cover the 2025 Academy Awards. Hosted by Jonathan Ross, Oscars Live will see Jason, journalist Mariella Frostrup and presenter Elle Osili-Wood discuss this year's Academy Award nominated films ahead of the big ceremony. They'll be offering up expert analysis on who is likely to win and which blockbusters will take home the most awards.
While the four stars will be filming in the ITV studio, journalists Ross King and Angelique Jackson will be bringing A-list chats from the red carpet at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre. The three hour show is set to feature behind-the-scenes insights and expert discussion about this year's film frontrunners.
Jonathan Ross, who will be back for another year on ITV, said: "Joined by the brilliant Jason, Mariella and Elle, it's guaranteed to be an unforgettable evening as we champion the very best movie moments and take a front row seat to Hollywood’s biggest night of the year.".
Jason added: "Looking forward to disagreeing with everyone about everything and celebrating the brilliance of all the indie films that are this year’s nominees. Grown up films for grown ups - who saw that coming a few years ago?". Meanwhile, Loose Women's Mariella Frostrup said she can't wait to spend the biggest film night of the year in the company of "movie encyclopaedia" Jonathan Ross as they talk their way "through the frocks and shocks, the makers and their movies, the players and their parts" at the Oscars.
She added: "It's been a fascinating year for film and the speeches will no doubt be a highlight. I can't wait to dig in!”. ITV presenter Elle also said that she was thrilled to be joining the line-up. "This has been one of the most talked-about Oscar races in history, so it’s set to be a night full of can’t-miss moments, with plenty of surprises in store," she said. "Whether you're tuning in for the films, the fashion, or just the fun of it all, I can't wait to share the magic of Hollywood’s biggest night with movie lovers across the UK!".
Jason is currently starring in The White Lotus and recently apologised for the Sky drama's "shocking" scenes, which involve "full frontal" nudity. "I’m sorry for the shocking scenes in the show, remember it’s not for children," he warned on This Morning.
