However, since then she has moved behind the cameras, and instead works within companies in Los Angeles in creating shows. Contrary to her ever-popular other half, Julia keeps herself away from the internet and social media, and as a result, not much is known about her life away from her marriage.
Julia was introduced to James in 2009 through a mutual friend, actor Dominic Cooper, and they began dating shortly afterwards. The pair have three children together - son Max, born in March 2011, and daughters Carey, born October 2014, and a daughter Charlotte, born in December 2017.
Dominic, who starred with James in The History Boys, is godfather to their son Max. They got married in January 2012 and live in Malibu in a £19m mansion. Winning a Tony award for his role in One Man, Two Guv'nors, James heaped praise on Julia and said in his speech: "Seriously, I would not be holding this if it wasn’t for her.
"She made me say ‘us’ instead of ‘I’ and ‘we’ instead of ‘me’ and I love her. Thank you very much.". On December 12, 2017, Harry Styles took over James' hosting role on The Late Late Show and revealed that it was due to Julia giving birth to a baby girl that day.
