Abbie Chatfield has sparked backlash from fans of her partner Adam Hyde's band, Peking Duk, for allegedly making herself the centre of attention on stage at his shows. The FBoy Island star, 29, has frequently attended Adam's performances, whether with Peking Duk or his solo project, Keli Holiday.
But it seems several fans are less than impressed with Abbie constantly popping up onstage. One fan took to Instagram to describe her actions as 'controlling,' commenting on a post that featured Abbie playfully interacting with Adam in front of a large crowd.
'I find it quite controlling how Abbie is all up in his space at gigs,' they wrote. 'It's like she can't stand not being the centre of attention. Surely it's got to be annoying for a performer.'. Abbie Chatfield has sparked backlash from fans of her partner Adam Hyde's band, Peking Duk, for allegedly making herself the centre of attention on stage at his shows.
However, the sentiment was met with some resistance from Abbie's fans, with one replying: 'If you hated your partner I'm sure it would be.'. Another jumped to Abbie's defence, stating: 'He literally interacts and engages with her throughout the show, he could just ignore her if he wanted to.'.
However, there were similar sentiments expressed on Tattle Life with many jumping in to suggest that Abbie needs to 'stay in her lane.'. 'No normal healthy partnership requires the GF to become part of the live shows,' one fan commented. 'Where's Reuben's [Adam's Peking Duk bandmate] wife? Why does Abbie need to be so involved?.
