White Apache actor Sebastian Harrison recounted his terrifying escape from his Malibu home amid the raging Los Angeles wildfires, revealing that he was ready to 'jump into the ocean' if it came down to it. The 59-year-old action movie star first shared his harrowing ordeal on Instagram Thursday, as flames engulfed the three-acre, $2.4 million oceanfront 'sanctuary' he shared with his wife Livia Pillmann and his 89-year-old father.
On Friday, he opened up to CNN about his desperate escape, explaining that his initial plan was to stay behind and fight the fire. 'Unfortunately, I’ve been through this a couple of times, and I’ve seen friends and family stay back and be able to put out the fires, so that was my initial intent, but you have to have a Plan B,' he said.
The actor, who starred in White Apache (1986) and the Viet Cong in Fireback (1983), continued, 'So when I saw the fire trucks just quickly leave, I thought, "Oh, that’s not a good sign."'. In that moment, he tried to start his car—only for it to fail. 'I got back out, and I saw this whole hurricane of embers going towards me, and I thought I’m doomed.'.
