Adrian Meronk has revealed he will be ready and available for Luke Donald if required for this year's Ryder Cup, but is keen to not put too much pressure on his shoulders after missing out in 2023. Meronk was dealt a huge blow ahead of the last Ryder Cup in Rome, just missing out on a spot in the 12-man squad despite announcing himself as one of the top performers on the DP World Tour. It was a bitter pill to swallow for the Pole, who at the time revealed he was 'shocked, sad and angry' to miss out.
The 2025 season however brings a fresh opportunity for Meronk to make his debut, with Donald's team facing the tough task of defending their title on away soil at Bethpage Black in September. Upon his DP World Tour comeback this week, the LIV Golf star - who made the Saudi switch last year in the wake of his Ryder Cup snub - has revealed he will make himself available for Donald come this Autumn, but will not put all of his eggs in one basket after missing out two years ago.
He told Mirror Sport: "It comes again to how I perform this year. It is definitely on my mind," Meronk said of his potential of making the European team this year. "B ut I want to focus on my game, keep playing good shots and keep playing good tournaments and if I am playing well enough I will be available for sure.
“Last time it was the only thing I was thinking about for almost two years. I put so much focus on that, so when I didn’t get in I was super disappointed because I thought I deserved it. This time I am not going to put any more focus or motivation to make the team.
