Alison Hammond has revealed her frustration with Paul Hollywood during the filming of The Great New Year's Bake Off due to his outfit choice, which she said dampened the festive fun. Following The Great Christmas Bake Off, which crowned Emmerdale star Chris Bisson as its champion, preparations for the Hogmanay-themed New Year's episode were in full swing.
The special episode sees former Scottish contestants, including Nicky, Peter, Lea, Kevin, James and Norman return, who are tasked with creating bakes inspired by their heritage. The New Year show will see a ceilidh band making its arrival, adding to the Scottish celebrations in the iconic Bake Off marquee.
While the judges and presenters embraced the Scottish theme with tartan outfits, Alison revealed she was left disappointed by Paul Hollywood's kilt attire. Speaking to Birmingham Live she shared: 'Oh, it was brilliant, it was so much fun. I'll get up on my feet and start dancing. I'm straight in there.

'Paul wore a kilt... and so did Prue. Well, she wore a tartan skirt... And Paul did wear his pants underneath. We were really upset!'. The contestants faced challenges such as crafting a traditional Signature bake, a Scottish shortbread Technical, and a cranachan-inspired Showstopper featuring oats, whisky, honey, raspberries, and cream.
