Andy Cohen reveals his pet peeve about hosting CNN's New Year's Eve broadcast with Anderson Cooper

Andy Cohen is gearing up to host the annual New Year's Eve countdown with Anderson Cooper. And while the two media personalities are a delight to watch together, behind the scenes there can be a little tension. Cohen, 56, and Anderson, 57, have been close friends for years and he wasn't afraid to talk about his pet peeve when it comes to the year end broadcast.
'Well, [it's] that I have to be the straight guy,' the Bravo host revealed to People. 'Literally, he's in a puddle of giggles for the last 90 minutes of the broadcast, and I'm the one that's hitting all the commercial breaks.'. 'I kind of turn into Mr. CNN for the last 90 minutes, and he turns into Mr. Bravo,' he added. 'It's a very funny role reversal.'.

Anderson also revealed his pet peeve during a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live. 'Just who he's gonna insult and what the clean up on aisle three is gonna be in the morning,' Cooper said earlier this month.
The son of designer Gloria Vanderbilt was likely referring to the 2021 broadcast when Cohen, who was drunk at the time, insulted Ryan Seacrest and the ABC New Year's Eve broadcast. Cohen called Seacrest's show a 'group of losers,' which led to him having to face the music the next day with a hangover.
