Angel Reese is enjoying life with the new Unrivaled league, and she not-so-subtly took a shot at the WNBA's conditions on Wednesday. Reese and 35 other players are gearing up to play in the inaugural season of Unrivaled, which will begin on Friday in Miami and run for two months.
And the 22-year-old has revealed some big differences that the upstart 3-on-3 league - co-founded by players Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart - apparently has from the W. 'We get to workout, use the weight room, create new bonds/friendships, get treatment, get massages, use the sauna, getting 2 meals a day, and then a facial before I leave for the day??? yeah i love it here,' she wrote on X.
'Oh & trust me, a lot of these things will be in chicago this year as well! @ FREE AGENTS,' the Chicago Sky player added. Despite establishing herself as one of the better players in the league and making the All-Star team as a rookie, Reese's WNBA salary was just $73,439 last year.
Angel Reese is seen practicing for Rose Basketball Club of the new Unrivaled league. Reese and 35 other players will all earn six-figure salaries for playing in the league. Meanwhile, the minimum salary for Unrivaled is six figures, and the winner of the 1-on-1 mid-season tournament will earn at least $250,000.
Reese has previously complained about her WNBA salary not covering her $8,000-per-month salary. 'Hating pays my bills, baby. I just hope you know the WNBA don't pay my bills at all. I don't even think that pays one of my bills,' Reese said on Instagram. 'Literally, I'm trying to think of my rent for where I stay at. I'm gonna do the math real quick. I don't even know my salary.'.
