Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly opened up about how their close relationship drifted in recent years. The hosting duo is known for being on almost every show on our screens, including Britain's Got Talent, Saturday Night Takeaway, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, Limitless Win and more. They met as child actors on Byker Grove in 1990 and quickly became best friends, soon hosting the likes of SMTV Live, CD:UK, Friends Like These, Pop Idol, Push The Button and even the Brit Awards.
They have so many projects going on it feels like they spend most of their time together. However, when they're not working together, they rush back to their wives and children the opposite ends of London. Ant recently welcomed a baby with wife Anne-Marie and Dec had two children - Isla, six, and Jack, two - with his wife Ali.
In a new interview, Ant said: "The kids take up a lot of your time, and we rush home to our families to see them when we finish working," before Dec went on to say they 'used to' spend so much time together but their lives 'changed over the past five or six years'.
Speaking to The Sun, Dec added: "We still meet up on days off to have a game of golf or go out for dinner. We're just not joined at the hip….” Last month, Ant and Dec opened up about a 'rare disagreement' they had while filming the latest series of ITV's hit gameshow, Limitless Win.
Following a life-altering £1 million win in the last series - the highest cash prize in the history of Limitless Win - the stakes of the show are now higher than ever. In addition to their hosting duties, the Geordie pair also lend a hand in the gameplay through the Take Two lifeline. Speaking about the part of the show where players can choose to seek their help, Dec revealed: "Well, it does affect your life, because you constantly go around looking at things and think 'that would be a good Limitless question'.
